Join Yumi and all her friends as they explore cultures, care for the planet, practice kindness, and build friendships. Our curriculum and edutainment invite children to discover the world while learning how to understand themselves and connect with others.
Meet Ms. Donna’s Curiosity Corner
Yumi’s University is led by Donna Nicholson, a veteran elementary and middle school teacher with 35 years of experience in education.
Through Ms. Donna’s Curiosity Corner, Donna brings a warm, human connection to Yumi’s world. She understands the joys and challenges of teaching—and the emotional, social, and learning challenges children face in today’s world.
Her practical guidance helps the adults supporting children connect Yumi’s adventures to meaningful conversations and learning experiences, whether in a classroom or at home.

Mr. Pim’s Wisdom Cafe
Mr. Pim welcomes children at his Wisdom Cafe, where every visit becomes a lesson in kindness.
This curriculum is inspired by Ludvig Nobel, named in honor of his ancestor Ludvig Nobel, the eldest brother of Alfred Nobel. Ludvig Nobel carries forward a legacy rooted in curiosity, responsibility, and human progress.
With a background in anthropology and environmental sciences, his work explores how knowledge, culture, and innovation can contribute to a more balanced relationship between humanity and the living world. He is guided by a commitment to dialogue, global understanding, and the belief that shared wisdom can help shape a more peaceful, responsible, and livable future.
Big Adventures. Meaningful Learning.
Each character has a complete learning module that includes:
- A read-along story that encourages literacy, imagination, and curiosity.
- An audiobook brought to life with animation and music for an engaging storytime experience.
- A sing-along song with teachable moments that helps children explore and remember each adventure’s lessons.
- 10–15 printable lesson plans for classrooms and homeschooling families, with activities that connect each character’s story to meaningful learning for children in TK through second grade.
From Ravi’s lessons in Respect to Holly’s celebration of Harmony, every friend offers a new way to learn.
Explore Zuri’s connection to Purity, find Tranquility with Seren, learn Respect with Ravi while practicing Harmony with Holly.
Each character: Yumi, Jay, Yuki, Obāchan, Zuri, Ravi, Seren, Holly, Professor Waldman, and Mr. Pim help turn everyday moments into opportunities for growth.
